About WeDu

Industrial compressed air V01.jpg

Our Vision

Compressed air is one of the most expensive energy carriers and, thus, must be used as efficiently as possible.

Our Goal

Our only goal is to optimize the compressed air costs of our clients.

Our Approach

Full optimization of a compressed air system is not just about reducing all leaks or improving overall compressor control. At WeDu, we follow the Trias Energetica strategy, developed by TNO, in our full optimization approach.

Local and International

In the Netherlands, WeDu is the only independent advisor in the field of compressed air installations. We are not affiliated with any other companies or suppliers.

WeDu also operates internationally, with more than 30% of its assignments coming from clients abroad. WeDu is, therefore, one of the few independent compressed air advisors that operate internationally on a regular basis.

Our Core Values

Independent

We believe that independence means that there are no restrictions in assessment. This creates the highest possible transparency in analysis and assessment processes for clients and suppliers.

Personal

We believe a personal relationship with our clients enhances clarity, depth, and trust. Problems will become visible more quickly, and the quality of any solutions will increase.

Grounded

Everything WeDu does is grounded.

Collaboration

We believe that collaboration with clients, suppliers of clients, and even companies in the same market will ultimately be positive for all parties, with the principle of "live and let live."

Compressed air in industry

Compressed air is one of the most prevalent, most critical processes and one of the most expensive energy forms in the industry. Unfortunately, it is also one of the most forgotten and least understood. After all, it's just air. However, the industry has a growing interest in energy saving (CO2 reduction) and efficiency improvements. This has made a good knowledge of compressed air systems necessary. In addition, with the introduction of Industry 4.0 and the IoT, the number of sensors in industrial systems is growing exponentially. Furthermore, this increases the amount and complexity of available data.

Although there are still many companies that only look at the system pressure, the operating hours of their compressors, and their maintenance schedule to ensure they always have enough compressed air, other companies are ahead. By installing additional sensors in their compressed air systems, they use the data from these sensors and their system controllers to optimize the preventive maintenance of their compressed air system and to analyze and solve problems.

However, many companies that have installed additional sensors do not have the time or knowledge to visualize and analyze the data properly. Their process management system provides basic graphs, which provide insufficient insight. Although all the necessary data is available, compressed air systems continue to operate inefficiently, and problems remain unsolved. This ultimately results in the continuous bending of costs and production loss. Both are deadly for the company's competitive position.

WeDu helps customers improve their compressed air installation without requiring much effort from the customer.
